LOS ANGELES - Acclaimed composer Danny Elfman has been tapped to write the theme song for the upcoming animated series "Hundred Acre Woods: Winnie and Friends," a Kartoon Studios production based on the beloved children's character Winnie the Pooh. The series, which will consist of 208 seven-minute episodes and five holiday specials, is set to launch in December 2026 through Kartoons Toon Media Networks division. The show will air across linear television, AVOD (ad-supported video on demand), SVOD (subscription-based video on demand), FAST channels, and streaming platforms.
A sneak peek of the series will be aired on December 24, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the original publication of A.A. Milne's classic tale about Winnie the Pooh and his friends Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, and Owl in the Hundred Acre Wood.
According to Navarro, Elfman is "thrilled" to be working on the project. "Danny Elfman is a master of creating iconic themes that capture the essence of beloved characters," she said.
