According to a government filing posted on September 19, the Cyber Crimes Center is experimenting with using artificial intelligence (AI) to detect AI-generated child abuse images. The contract was awarded to San Francisco-based Hive AI, which confirmed that its software will be used in conjunction with its AI detection algorithms. "We cannot discuss the details of the contract," said Kevin Guo, cofounder and CEO of Hive AI, "but we can confirm that it involves use of our AI detection algorithms."
