At least two people are dead and three others injured after a car was driven at members of the public outside a synagogue in Manchester, with police shooting and killing the suspected attacker.
Eyewitnesses describe the scene as "horrendous" with one witness, Gareth, telling BBC Radio Manchester that he saw a man bleeding out on the floor before realizing there was another person lying in front of the car. A delivery driver also witnessed the incident, describing it as initially appearing to be a car crash before seeing people injured.
The attack occurred at around 10:30am local time outside the synagogue in Crumpsall, Manchester. Police have confirmed that a man was shot by firearms officers and is believed to be dead.
This is not the first incident of anti-Semitic violence in the UK this year, with several synagogues and Jewish communities targeted in recent months. However, details on the motive behind today's attack are still unclear.
