Apple Removes ICEBlock from App Store After Trump Administration's Demand

Bondi emphasized that "violence against law enforcement is an intolerable red line that cannot be crossed" and vowed that the Department of Justice would continue to protect its federal law enforcement officers.
"We created the App Store to be a safe and trusted place to discover apps," Apple said in a statement. "Based on information we've received from law enforcement about the safety risks associated with ICEBlock, we have removed it and similar apps from the App Store."
The removal of ICEBlock comes after a gunman attacked an ICE facility in Dallas last month, using tracking apps, including ICEBlock, to locate and target ICE agents. The incident resulted in the deaths of two people.
ICEBlock's developers had argued that their app was designed to promote transparency and accountability within law enforcement agencies.
