LONDON - The Abbey Road Music Photography Awards unveiled its winners for 2025 on Friday, honoring the best in music photography from around the world.
At a ceremony held at Studios One and Two in London, David Bailey was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his six decades of work behind iconic images of Elton John, Alice Cooper, and Nile Rodgers. Bailey's wife accepted the honor on his behalf, with Rodgers presenting the award.
"It's great to see music photography thriving," said lead judge Rankin in a press release. "It has never felt more vital, and these images remind us why it's such a powerful art form."
The Music Moment of the Year Award went to Kirby Gladstein for his photograph of Lana Del Rey. The Icon Award was given to Anton Corbijn, who received video shoutouts from members of U2, Metallica, and the Killers, as well as Lenny Kravitz and Nick Cave.
"Your work continues to fascinate and inspire us all," said Cave in a statement. "You are indeed an icon!"
The Abbey Road Music Photography Awards recognize excellence in music photography on a global scale. This year's winners were chosen from over 10,000 entries submitted by photographers from more than 100 countries.
Inés Ziouane won the Festivals Winner award for her photograph taken at the Festival d'été de Québec. The awards ceremony also featured performances and tributes to the winners.
The Abbey Road Music Photography Awards have become a premier platform for music photography talent worldwide, with past winners including some of the most renowned photographers in the industry.
