QUITO, Ecuador - Ecuador's President Daniel Noboa escaped unharmed Tuesday after his motorcade was targeted by stone-throwing protesters in central Ecuador.
According to eyewitnesses and officials, the president's convoy was attacked while he was inaugurating a water treatment plant. About 500 people showed up to protest rising fuel prices, throwing stones at the presidential vehicle.
