Breaking News: Multiple People Stabbed on Huntingdon Train, Investigation Underway
At least 11 people were injured in a mass stabbing on a train traveling from Doncaster to London on Saturday night. Two British men in their thirties have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The attack occurred on the 18:25 GMT London North Eastern Railway (LNER) service from Doncaster to London's King's Cross station at Huntingdon station in Cambridgeshire. Emergency crews and police rushed to the scene after receiving 999 calls from passengers on the train.
Two people remain in a life-threatening condition after receiving hospital treatment. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer described the attack as "appalling" and "deeply concerning."
Police used a Taser on one man who was holding a knife, according to witnesses. The investigation is ongoing, with police stating that there is currently "nothing to suggest" it was a terror incident.
