Breaking News: Air India Plane Crash Survivor Speaks Out
A 24-year-old man, Viswashkumar Ramesh, is the sole survivor of the Air India plane crash that killed 241 people on board. The crash occurred on a London-bound flight that went down shortly after take-off in Ahmedabad, western India, on June 28.
Ramesh, who suffered superficial injuries, has described his miraculous escape as a "miracle" but is now struggling with the aftermath. His younger brother, Ajay, was a few seats away on the flight and died in the crash.
Ramesh's family is in shock, with his wife and four-year-old son still trying to come to terms with the tragedy. Ramesh himself has been unable to speak to his family since returning home to Leicester, due to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Shocking video footage from the scene showed Ramesh walking away from the wreckage as flames engulfed the Boeing 787 plane. The incident has left the family and the community reeling.
This is a developing story, with Ramesh's advisers saying he is receiving support to cope with the trauma. Further details and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
