Breaking News: Multiple Stabbed on Huntingdon Train
A mass stabbing on a train in Cambridgeshire has left 11 people injured. The incident occurred on a Doncaster-London King's Cross train that made an unscheduled stop at Huntingdon shortly before 20:00 GMT on Saturday.
Police were met at the scene and have since arrested a 32-year-old man, identified as Anthony Williams, who has been charged with 10 counts of attempted murder. Williams, who gave his address as "no fixed abode," was remanded into custody on Monday.
The train crew, including driver Andrew Johnson, a former Chief Petty Officer in the Royal Navy, and a crew member who remains in hospital, are being hailed as heroes for their bravery. Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander praised their actions, saying they saved lives.
The crew member is in a critical but stable condition in hospital. The injured passengers are receiving medical attention.
