Breaking News: Heroic Football Fan and Scunthorpe United Player Among Train Attack Victims
A knife attack on a train in Cambridgeshire has left 10 people injured, with a Scunthorpe United player and a Nottingham Forest fan among the victims. The incident occurred on a LNER train from Doncaster to London King's Cross on Saturday evening at around 20:00 GMT.
Scunthorpe United player Jonathan Gjoshe, 22, was slashed across the bicep and has undergone surgery. Nottingham Forest fan Stephen Crean, who was on the train, has been hailed a hero after confronting the attacker face-to-face.
The train crew and passengers are credited with saving lives through their bravery and quick thinking. Anthony Williams, 32, has been remanded in custody and charged with 11 counts of attempted murder, two counts of possession of a bladed article, and one count of actual bodily harm.
