Breaking News: Woman Pleads for Life as Cambridgeshire Train Attacker Strikes
A 48-year-old woman, Dayna Arnold, has survived a knife attack on a train in Cambridgeshire after pleading with the alleged attacker to stop. The incident occurred on Saturday evening on a train traveling from Peterborough.
According to eyewitness accounts, Arnold was lying on the floor when the alleged attacker approached her, but she managed to beg him "please don't" before he lunged at her with a knife. The attacker stopped his assault after her words and walked away down the train, only to return and say "the devil's not going to win."
Arnold, who was traveling with her partner Andy Gray, described the scene as chaotic, with panicked voices and people rushing towards the front of the carriage. She was separated from her partner in the chaos and was eventually knocked into a seat by fleeing passengers.
The incident is currently under investigation by local authorities, and the alleged attacker remains at large. The train was traveling from Peterborough to Huntingdon when the attack occurred.
This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
