Breaking News: Man Chases Train Stabbings Suspect Down in Daring Highway Pursuit
A 57-year-old father has been hailed as a hero after using his car to hit a man suspected of stabbing 10 people on a train in Cambridgeshire. The suspect, Anthony Williams, 32, has been charged with attempting to murder the victims.
The attack occurred on Saturday evening on the 18:25 GMT Doncaster to London King's Cross LNER service, shortly after it left Peterborough. The train was diverted to Huntingdon, where the suspect was apprehended by police.
Dave Scott, the father who intervened, was waiting to collect his daughter at Huntingdon railway station when the suspect tried to get into his car. Scott said he "powered away as quick as I could, also taking him with me."
The suspect was arrested soon after, and Williams has now been charged with attempting to murder 10 people. Passengers on the train were left shaken after the attack.
This is a developing story, and further details will be provided as they become available.
