In eastern China, air pollution has fallen significantly as a massive buildout of wind, solar, and clean energy, coupled with strong air pollution policies, has begun to curb reliance on coal. In Brazil, nearly 90% of electricity now comes from clean energy sources, enabling the country to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels and improve public health. The shift in approach is not limited to these countries. In the United States, there is growing recognition of the need for a more inclusive and solutions-focused approach to climate action. Abramson notes that "the climate conversation has become too polarized, with some people feeling overwhelmed by the scale of the problem and others feeling that it's not a priority. We need to find a way to bring people together around the solutions, rather than the problem."
