Breaking News: Crown Jewels Vandalism at Tower of London
Four people have been arrested in connection with the defacing of a display case containing part of the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London. The incident occurred shortly before 10:00 GMT on Saturday.
The display case, which houses the Imperial State Crown, was vandalized with custard and apple crumble. The Metropolitan Police temporarily closed the Tower's Jewel House to the public while they investigate the incident.
According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrators claimed to be members of a new group called Take Back Power, which advocates for a permanent citizen's assembly with the power to tax extreme wealth and fix Britain.
The incident has caused significant disruption to the Tower of London, with visitors unable to access the Jewel House. The police are working to identify the individuals involved and determine the extent of the damage.
This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
