BREAKING NEWS: Multiple Fatalities in Terror Attack at Bondi Beach
At least 15 people, including a 10-year-old girl, have been killed in a terror attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, during a Hanukkah celebration. The attack occurred at approximately 18:47 local time (07:47 GMT).
The gunmen behind the attack have been identified as a 50-year-old father and a 24-year-old son, who were both shot dead by police. The 24-year-old is in a critical condition.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has described the attack as "an act of antisemitism... and terrorism on our shores." Police have confirmed that the incident is being treated as a terrorist attack.
Mass shootings in Australia are extremely rare, with the Bondi attack being the deadliest incident since the Port Arthur massacre in 1996, which killed 35 people.
The attack has sent shockwaves through the Jewish community, with police stepping up security in Jewish communities across the country.
This is a developing story, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
