UK music sales in 2025 were driven by female artists and a resurgence of the band Oasis, according to figures released by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Taylor Swift's 12th album, "The Life of a Showgirl," topped the charts, selling 642,000 copies since its October release.

Women dominated the year, with British artists such as Olivia Dean and Lola Young contributing to a record-breaking year for the music industry. Combined sales rose by nearly 5%, reaching 201 million albums sold or streamed. Olivia Dean's "The Art of Loving" was among the best-selling albums of the year.

Oasis experienced a significant comeback, fueled by their blockbuster reunion tour. The band sold over one million albums in 2025. Their greatest hits compilation, "Time Flies," ranked as the fourth biggest album of the year, while "(What's The Story) Morning Glory" came in seventh. The band also sold 1.4 million tickets for their comeback tour.

The BPI reported that streaming now accounts for 89% of the overall music market. Fans streamed 210.3 billion songs throughout the year.
