Eurostar Services Return to Normal After Major Channel Tunnel Disruption
Eurostar and Le Shuttle services between the UK and France resumed Wednesday morning after facing major travel disruptions on Tuesday. According to BBC News, thousands of passengers experienced hours of delays after Eurostar cancelled most of its London to Europe services.
The disruption was caused by an overhead power supply problem and a failed Le Shuttle train, which blocked all routes through the Channel Tunnel. Repair work was conducted overnight to restore services in both directions, BBC News reported.
While services have resumed, Eurostar has urged passengers to check for possible knock-on delays and last-minute cancellations. Most of Eurostar's Wednesday morning services in and out of London are expected to run, but travelers are advised to stay updated on the latest travel information.
