Marvel Studios Unveils 'Wonder Man' Trailer as World Celebrates New Year
As people around the globe celebrated the arrival of 2026, Marvel Studios ushered in the new year by releasing a trailer for its upcoming Disney+ miniseries, "Wonder Man." The eight-episode miniseries, a part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is slated to premiere later this month, according to Ars Technica.
The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man, an actor and stunt person who possesses actual superpowers. The plot revolves around Williams auditioning for the lead role in a superhero TV series, a reboot of an earlier Wonder Man incarnation.
"Wonder Man" was created by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," and Andrew Guest, who previously worked on "Hawkeye." Guest also serves as the showrunner for the miniseries.
The cast includes Demetrius Grosse as Simon's brother, Eric Williams, who becomes the Grim Reaper. Ed Harris also appears in the series. Multiple news sources confirm the return of Ben Kingsley to the MCU in "Wonder Man."
