Marvel Rings in 2026 with "Wonder Man" Trailer Release
Marvel Studios ushered in the new year with the release of a trailer for its upcoming "Wonder Man" miniseries, set to premiere later this month on Disney+. The eight-episode miniseries is part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The series was created by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," and Andrew Guest, who also served as showrunner, according to Ars Technica. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man, an actor and stunt person with actual superpowers.
According to multiple news sources, the plot revolves around Williams auditioning for the lead role in a superhero TV series, a reboot of an earlier Wonder Man incarnation. The trailer also features Ben Kingsley, reprising his role from previous MCU films. Demetrius Grosse plays Simon's brother, Eric, also known as Grim Reaper, and Ed Harris also stars in the series.
