The absence of a major French film hurt the box office. Hollywood films dominated the market. Disney claimed the top three spots with "Zootopia 2," "Lilo & Stitch," and "Avatar: Fire Ash."

Despite the decline, a year-end rebound suggests positive momentum for 2026. French films held a 37.7% market share, the highest in Europe. Industry observers are hopeful for a stronger performance in the coming year.
