A video filmed by the ICE agent who shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis has surfaced. The 47-second clip shows Good in her car, speaking to the agent moments before the shooting. Alpha News, a Minnesota-based conservative outlet, obtained the video.
The shooting occurred Wednesday. Good, 37, died at the scene. The video's release ignited further controversy.
Vice-President JD Vance claimed the agent acted in self-defense after viewing the footage. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called the Trump administration's claim that Good committed "domestic terrorism" by trying to run over the agent "garbage." Protests erupted across the US following Good's death. Her wife stated they were helping neighbors.
The Trump administration alleged Good blocked the road and impeded ICE's work. The Department of Homeland Security has been contacted for comment.
The investigation is ongoing. The video's release will likely fuel further debate and protests.
