Alphabet's drone delivery arm, Wing, is significantly scaling its partnership with Walmart, announcing plans to extend its on-demand drone delivery service to an additional 150 Walmart stores. The rollout, which builds upon existing services in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Atlanta areas, is slated to occur progressively throughout this year and continue into 2027, according to Heather Rivera, Wing's chief business officer. This expansion will bring Wing's operational footprint to over 270 Walmart stores, reaching approximately 10% of the U.S. population and including major metropolitan areas like Los Angeles, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Miami. The company also plans to launch in Houston on January 15.
