Touadera Secures Third Term Amid CAR Challenges
Incumbent President Faustin-Archange Touadera of the Central African Republic has been declared the winner of the recent presidential election with 76.15% of the vote, securing a third term after a constitutional change removed term limits. Former Prime Ministers Anicet-Georges Dologuele and Henri-Marie Dondra followed with 14.66% and 3.19% respectively, in an election where Touadera campaigned on his security policies, including alliances with foreign military groups and peace agreements with rebels.
