Anthony Ramos, the Brooklyn-born actor best known for his dual roles as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the original Broadway cast of Lin-Manuel Miranda's "Hamilton," opened Milly's Neighborhood Bar in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood in June. Ramos, 34, partnered with longtime friend Ron Leakey to establish the bar, named after his mother, Mildred Ramos.

Ramos's venture into bar ownership stemmed from the closure of his favorite Caribbean eatery, Negril BK, in Park Slope in April. He expressed a desire to create a welcoming space for the community. "I love hosting people," Ramos said. "There are few better feelings than seeing someone having a great time at your place." He emphasized his vision for Milly's as a place where patrons feel comfortable and want to linger. "You can stay as long as you want," he stated. "I want you to feel like you never want to leave."

The opening of Milly's marks a new chapter for Ramos, who is also set to star in Ryan Murphy's upcoming science fiction horror series for FX, "The Beauty," premiering January 21. While continuing his acting career, Ramos is actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the bar.
