AI Security Lags Behind Adoption, Leaving Supply Chains Vulnerable
As enterprises rapidly integrate AI agents into their operations, a significant security gap has emerged, leaving AI supply chains vulnerable to breaches and potentially exposing executives to legal liabilities. According to a Stanford University 2025 Index Report, only 6% of organizations have an advanced AI security strategy in place.
The increasing unpredictability of AI threats, coupled with a lack of visibility into the usage and modification of Large Language Models (LLMs), is creating a critical vulnerability. This lack of visibility is further compounded by the absence of Model Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs), which one CISO described to VentureBeat as the "Wild West of governance."
