A construction crane collapsed onto a moving train in north-east Thailand, killing at least 32 people. The accident injured 66 others, including a one-year-old and an 85-year-old. Seven are in critical condition.
The incident occurred around 09:00 local time (02:00 GMT). The crane derailed the train and crushed carriages, causing one to catch fire. 171 passengers were on board. The train was traveling from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani province.
Passengers were mostly students and workers. Thai state railways will take legal action against the construction company. The Italian-Thai Development Company expressed regret. They will compensate victims' families.
