Anthropic is expanding the capabilities of its AI assistant, Claude, by integrating popular workplace applications directly into the chatbot interface. Announced on Monday, the new feature allows users to interact with services like Slack, Canva, Figma, and Box from within Claude, transforming the AI from a conversational tool into an integrated workspace, according to VentureBeat. A Salesforce integration is expected soon.
The rollout, which went live Monday, includes integrations with Amplitude, Asana, Clay, Hex, and Monday.com, in addition to the previously mentioned applications, VentureBeat reported. This allows employees to build project timelines, draft Slack messages, create presentations, and visualize data without switching browser tabs. "Analyzing data, designing content, and managing projects all work better with a dedicated visual interface," Anthropic said in a blog post, as reported by TechCrunch, adding that "Combined with Claude's intelligence, you can work and iterate faster than either could off."
This move signifies Anthropic's push to dominate enterprise AI, arriving shortly after the company's CEO made headlines at Davos, VentureBeat noted. The integrations enable a logged-in instance of each service to be accessible to Claude, allowing users to send Slack messages, generate charts, or access cloud files, depending on the enabled apps, according to TechCrunch.
The announcement comes amid a flurry of activity in the AI space, with multiple sources highlighting advancements in AI tools like Anthropic's Claude Code and OpenAI's ChatGPT Health. These developments also bring increased scrutiny regarding AI safety and data privacy, particularly concerning platforms like TikTok, according to TechCrunch.
