Volvo, a company with a history of safety innovation, has improved its seat belt technology with the introduction of a new multi-adaptive safety belt in its all-electric EX60, Ars Technica reported. The EX60, built on Volvo's SPA3 platform designed exclusively for battery-electric vehicles, boasts a range of up to 400 miles (643 km) and fast-charging capabilities that can add 173 miles (278 km) in just 10 minutes. The vehicle also utilizes mega casting, reducing the rear floor's parts from over 100 to a single piece of aluminum alloy, simplifying construction and reducing weld points.
