The FBI executed a search warrant Wednesday at an elections office in Fulton County, Georgia, seeking ballots related to the 2020 presidential election, according to CBS News. Fulton County officials confirmed the search, stating that the FBI "sought a number of records related to 2020 elections." A state senator present at the scene told reporters that the FBI was seeking hundreds of boxes of ballots.
The search drew the attention of high-ranking officials, including Deputy FBI Director Andrew Bailey and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who were both seen outside the elections office late Wednesday, CBS News reported. A news conference with federal officials was initially scheduled but later canceled. "Director Gabbard has a pivotal role in election," CBS News noted.
Treasury Secretary Addresses Trump Accounts, Powell Investigation
In other news, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent addressed the department's ongoing investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and the administration's new "Trump Accounts" in an interview Wednesday with CBS News. According to a transcript of the interview, the "Trump Accounts" are government investments of $1,000 into an index fund for families who have children between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028. "Well, for the families who have children between January 1st, 2025, and December 31, 2028, you got 1,000 coming from the government that's going to be invested into an index fund," Bessent said.

The video, recorded on Jan. 13 and posted Wednesday by The News Movement, shows Pretti kicking and damaging the taillight of a government SUV. The vehicle then stops.
