Walmart announced promotions for 3,000 pharmacy workers across its nearly 4,600 U.S. locations, with some employees receiving raises of up to 86%, Fortune reported Thursday. The promotions are for pharmacy operations team lead positions, which will pay an average of $28 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $42 per hour.
Pharmacy technicians will now make an average of $22 per hour and can earn up to $40.50 per hour, representing a significant pay increase. According to Fortune, these positions do not require a college degree.
