Donald Trump, along with his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization, sued the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Treasury Department on Thursday for $10 billion, alleging a failure to protect his confidential tax returns from unauthorized disclosure during his first term, according to ABC News. The lawsuit comes after a former IRS contractor pleaded guilty in 2023 to leaking Trump's tax information. The suit accuses the two government agencies of failing in their duty to safeguard and protect Plaintiffs confidential tax returns and related tax return information from such unauthorized inspection and public disclosure, according to court documents.
