Man Arrested for Impersonating FBI Agent in Attempt to Free Inmate
A man was arrested at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on Thursday after allegedly impersonating an FBI agent in an attempt to free an inmate, according to authorities. Mark Anderson, 36, of Minnesota, was charged in connection with the incident.
Anderson allegedly arrived at the detention center claiming to have a court order to release Luigi Mangione, 27, who is being held while awaiting trial for the 2024 murder of UnitedHealthcare chief executive Brian Thompson, Sky News reported. During a search of Anderson's bag, officers found a barbecue fork and a circular steel blade resembling a pizza cutter.

"A lot of people said they'll never disarm. It looks like they're going to disarm," Trump said at a cabinet meeting. Trump hailed cooperation with Hamas, considered a terrorist group by the United States, after Israeli forces brought back the remains from the last hostage held.
Medium Employees to Participate in National Strike Protesting ICE
Domestically, employees at the publishing platform Medium will have Friday off to participate in a nationwide general strike protesting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), TechCrunch reported. Medium CEO Tony Stubblebine reportedly sent a Slack message to staff stating that all employees are free to participate in the strike however they see fit, amid calls to defund ICE.
