The controversy follows two fatal incidents involving federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in recent weeks, which have sparked clashes with anti-ICE demonstrators.
Noem addressed the criticism on "Hannity" on Thursday, stating that "radicals" are targeting her for enforcing immigration laws. "These radicals are attacking me, but I'm just doing my job. I'm following the law, enforcing the laws like President Trump promised that he would do to keep people safe in this country," she said, according to Fox News. The Minnesota Timberwolves released a statement from its players expressing their concern over the "recent tragic events" involving ICE in Minneapolis, Fox News reported.
In other news, surveillance footage released by police showed a bystander tackling a suspect who breached a TSA checkpoint at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on October 30, 2025, Fox News reported. The suspect, 40-year-old Fabian Leon, was swiftly subdued after the incident, according to Fox News. He was later charged with simple battery.

Smith embarked from La Gomera, Spain, 46 days prior and paddled approximately 10 to 12 miles per day, according to ABC News. "I really couldn't have done it without all of the support from people back home. So thank you so much for joining me," Smith said, as reported by ABC News.
