A deadly bus accident in southern Turkey's Antalya province claimed the lives of nine people and left dozens injured on Sunday, according to local officials. The intercity bus veered off a road in the Döşemealtı district, northwest of Antalya city center, and rolled down an embankment, Euronews reported. Images from the scene showed the vehicle on its side.
Ahmet Kodaz, a survivor of the crash, recounted the harrowing moments leading up to the accident. "We were travelling from Isparta to Antalya. There was already fog on the road," he told Euronews. The driver died after the speeding bus failed to take a bend. In a separate incident, another crash in Burdur resulted in seven additional fatalities, Euronews reported.
