The deceased were identified as Elena Walsh from Birmingham, Mark Ashley from Bedfordshire, Karen Pooley from Gloucestershire, and a 56-year-old man. All four had contracted severe stomach bugs while staying in Cape Verde, according to Sky News. Irwin Mitchell stated that they are representing over 1,500 people who reported falling ill after visiting the country, including six who have died.
