Judge Blocks DHS from Ending Deportation Protections for Haitians
A federal judge on Monday blocked the Trump administration from ending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for approximately 350,000 Haitians, one day before the protections were set to expire, according to CBS News. U.S. District Court Judge Ana Reyes issued the order, preventing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from invalidating the legal status and work permits of active enrollees and from arresting and deporting them.
Judge Reyes rebuked Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's decision to end the TPS policy for Haitians, concluding that the decision was "arbitrary and capricious" and in violation of the Administrative Procedures Act, CBS News reported.

Espinosa, 42, died on Saturday morning when a suspected drunk driver ran a red light and struck her vehicle. Nearly $200,000 had been donated in just two days. Espinosa, who came from a family of law enforcement officers, had recently become a mother and is survived by her husband and fellow officer Francisco Malaga and their child, according to Fox News. Finally, detransitioner Chloe Cole discussed a recent landmark medical ruling where another woman who de-transitioned won a $2 million malpractice suit against her former surgeon and psychologist, Fox News reported. Fox Varian sued her medical providers for pushing her to have a double mastectomy when she was 16 years old.
