Apple integrated agentic coding tools from Anthropic and OpenAI into its Xcode development suite, the company announced Tuesday. The release of Xcode 26.3 allows developers to use Anthropics Claude Agent and OpenAIs Codex directly within Apples official app development suite. Meanwhile, Y Combinator (YC) will now offer accepted startups the option to receive seed funding in stablecoin, and Skyryse, an aviation automation startup, secured $300 million in Series C funding, achieving a $1.15 billion valuation. Separately, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reportedly used administrative subpoenas to seek user information about critics of the Trump administration, and TechCrunch announced the upcoming opening of applications for its Startup Battlefield 200 competition.
The Xcode 26.3 Release Candidate became available to Apple Developers from the developer website, with a later release planned for the App Store, according to TechCrunch. This update follows Xcode 26, which introduced support for ChatGPT and Claude within Apples integrated development environment (IDE) used by those building apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apples other hardware platforms. The integration of agentic coding tools allows AI models to tap into more of Xcodes features to perform their tasks.
Y Combinator will offer its standard deal of $500,000 for 7% of accepted startups in stablecoin, starting with the upcoming spring batch, according to TechCrunch. Nemil Dalal, a crypto YC partner, told The Block that stablecoin transfers are often more effective, specifically for founders working in emerging markets. This move aligns with YCs increased interest in blockchain technology, following a partnership with Base and Coinbase Ventures last fall to encourage founders to build more blockchain-related companies.
Skyryse, based in El Segundo, California, raised over $300 million in a Series C investment led by Autopilot Ventures, TechCrunch reported. The funding will support the completion of the Federal Aviation Administration certification process for its flight control system and the integration of its operating system, SkyOS, across various aircraft, including U.S. military Black Hawk helicopters. Other investors in this round include Fidelity Management & Research Company, ArrowMark Partners, Atreides Management LP, BAM Elevate, Baron Capital Group, Durable Capital Partners, Positive Sum, and Qatar Investment Authority.
In other news, the Department of Homeland Security has been using administrative subpoenas to demand information about individuals who run anonymous Instagram accounts sharing posts about ICE immigration raids, according to TechCrunch. These subpoenas have also been used to demand information about people who have criticized Trump officials or protested government policies.
TechCrunch's Startup Battlefield 200, the early-stage startup competition held at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, will soon open applications for its next cohort. The program offers visibility, access to investors, and growth opportunities for 200 selected startups from thousands of applicants each year, according to TechCrunch. Early-stage startups can join the Startup Battlefield email list to receive updates on the application process.
