AI Security Concerns Rise as OpenClaw Faces Malware Issues
Security researchers uncovered hundreds of malicious add-ons on ClawHub, the marketplace for OpenClaw's AI agent, raising significant security concerns about the popular platform, according to The Verge on Monday. OpenClaw, an AI agent that has seen a surge in popularity recently, allows users to add "skill" extensions, but these add-ons have become a vector for malware.
The discovery highlights the potential dangers of user-submitted content on AI platforms. Emma Roth of The Verge reported that the malicious add-ons were found on ClawHub.
In other tech news, Tinder is testing a new AI-powered feature called Chemistry to combat "swipe fatigue" among its users, TechCrunch reported. The Match-owned dating app introduced Chemistry last quarter and is currently testing it in Australia. The feature uses AI to learn about users through questions and access to their Camera Roll, with user permission. Match CEO Spencer Rascoff said on the company's Q4 2026 earnings call that Chemistry offers users an AI way to interact with Tinder.
