US and Iran to Hold Nuclear Talks in Oman Amid Regional Tensions
The United States and Iran are scheduled to hold nuclear talks in Oman on Friday, according to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The announcement, made Wednesday, came after earlier reports suggested the talks were faltering due to disagreements over format and content, according to Euronews. The meeting takes place against a backdrop of heightened tensions between the two countries, particularly following Iran's crackdown on nationwide protests last month.
The renewed dialogue was welcomed by Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, who emphasized the need to avoid "all-out war" in the Middle East. Speaking at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Salam stated on Wednesday he would welcome any effort to promote stability in the region. "I want to emphasise that the question of war and peace is in the hands of the government and solely of the government," Salam told Euronews' EU editor Maria Tadeo.
The World Governments Summit in Dubai saw record participation from European countries, with the UAE positioning itself as a neutral hub for global dialogue. Omar Al Olama, UAE minister of state for AI, told Euronews, "The world requires a place where, whether it's adversaries, whether it's different geographies, to at least have dialogue."

Hundreds of women, including minors as young as 15, were filmed during cosmetic procedures without their consent, and the footage was distributed on pornographic websites. Victims include public figures such as a judge, a prosecutor, journalists, and relatives of government officials. Some recordings date back to 2023. Women were filmed by hidden cameras while undergoing laser hair removal and other procedures, often while fully naked.
