The footage was allegedly distributed on pornographic websites without the women's consent. Marina Stoimenova of Euronews reported that victims included minors as young as 15, as well as public figures such as a judge, a prosecutor, journalists, and relatives of government officials. The hidden cameras captured women during procedures like laser hair removal, often while they were naked. Some recordings dated back to 2023.
TechCrunch reported on Anthropic's Super Bowl-style commercial, which featured a chatbot offering advice that quickly devolved into an advertisement for a fictitious cougar-dating site. The ad concluded with Anthropic stating that while ads are coming to AI, they will not be coming to its own chatbot, Claude. Another commercial showed a chatbot recommending height-boosting insoles to a young man seeking advice on building a six-pack.
