The Labor Department reported that layoffs rose slightly in December. The number of people quitting their jobs, an indicator of confidence in their prospects, remained relatively unchanged at 3.2 million, ABC News reported. Le stated that she was working around the clock to manage the influx of cases stemming from the Trump administration's immigration policies.
