Guthrie Family Begs Kidnappers: "We Want To Talk"

The family of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie, issued a plea to her potential kidnappers, urging them to make contact, as her whereabouts remained unknown five days after her disappearance from her Arizona home. The FBI is jointly investigating the case and offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, according to ABC News.

In a video message posted on Thursday, Camron Guthrie, Savannah Guthrie's brother, stated, "Whoever is out there holding our mother, we want to hear from you." He added, "We haven't heard anything directly. We need you to reach out and we need a way to communicate with you so we can."

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said investigators were working under the assumption that Nancy Guthrie was still alive and would "continue thinking that way until we find her," according to BBC World. The FBI is reviewing two ransom notes, and officers have made an arrest over a fake note, the outlet reported.
