YouTube TV subscribers will soon have more options to customize their viewing experience with the introduction of lower-priced plans. The company will offer over ten different plans, all priced below the current $82.99 per month main plan, which includes access to over 100 networks, according to TechCrunch. Among the new options are a $64.99 per month sports plan, a $71.99 per month sports and news plan, a $54.99 per month entertainment plan, and a $69.99 per month news, entertainment, and family plan. The main plan will remain available, but the new options allow customers to choose the channels that matter most to them while saving money.
Discord announced that it will begin rolling out age verification globally next month. This update will put all users into a teen-appropriate experience by default unless they can prove they are adults, according to TechCrunch. Age verification will be required to change certain settings and access age-restricted content. Only verified adults will be able to unblur sensitive content, modify settings for messages from unknown users, and speak on stage in servers.
TechCrunch also announced the opening of nominations for its Startup Battlefield 200. Early-stage founders are invited to apply for the chance to compete on the main stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026. The competition offers a chance to win $100,000 in equity-free funding and gain global exposure. Notable alumni of the Startup Battlefield include Trello, Mint, Dropbox, Discord, and Fitbit, according to TechCrunch.
In other tech news, Google's Pixel 9A is available for $349, its lowest price so far, according to The Verge. The phone is available in blue, black, or pink at Amazon and Best Buy.
