Beiermeister stated to the Wall Street Journal that the allegation of discrimination was "absolutely false." Robert Playter's departure from Boston Dynamics is effective immediately, with his official exit from the company scheduled for February 27th, as reported by A3, according to The Verge. Amanda McMaster, the CFO, will serve as interim CEO while the company's board searches for a replacement.
xAI co-founder Tony Wu announced his resignation late Monday night, according to Ars Technica. Wu expressed positive sentiments about his time at xAI on social media, but indicated it was time for a new chapter. Ars Technica noted that xAI had approximately 1,200 employees as of March 2025.
