Two British skiers were among three fatalities after an avalanche struck the Val d'Isere ski resort in the French Alps late Friday morning, according to Sky News. The snowslide, which occurred around 11:30 am local time, also claimed the life of a French national.
The British skiers were reportedly skiing off-piste when the avalanche hit, while the French national was skiing alone high on the mountain slope, as reported by Sky News. Cedric Bonnevie, a spokesperson for the resort, confirmed the details.
