In other news, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been sending legal requests to tech companies to identify individuals who oppose ICE. Google, Reddit, Discord, and Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, have received hundreds of administrative subpoenas from the DHS in recent months, according to four government officials and tech employees. These requests seek the names, email addresses, telephone numbers, and other identifying data behind social media accounts that track or criticize the agency. Google, Meta, and Reddit have complied with some of the requests, government officials said.

Meanwhile, in Tucson, Arizona, police activity is underway in connection to the search for Nancy Guthrie, the missing mother of US news anchor Savannah Guthrie. Armed police teams have been seen at a residence about two miles from her home, with a sheriff's vehicle blocking the road, according to a BBC World report. Local officials stated that investigators found DNA at Guthrie's address that did not belong to her or anyone close to her. The 84-year-old disappeared from her home nearly two weeks ago, and authorities believe she was taken against her will. The Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos, is facing increased scrutiny in the case.
