DEVELOPING: Menopause May Trigger Alzheimer's Risk!
A recent UK study of 125,000 women suggests menopause is linked to Alzheimer's-like brain changes, specifically a loss of grey matter in regions critical for memory and emotion. This discovery may partially explain the higher incidence of dementia in women, highlighting the need for further research into hormonal influences on neurodegenerative diseases, even as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) did not appear to prevent the grey matter loss.
