'Ted Lasso' Season 4 Set for Summer Release; Gustaf Skarsgård to Star in 'Wallander' Reboot
Apple TV announced that the fourth season of "Ted Lasso," starring Jason Sudeikis, will debut globally this summer, marking Sudeikis' return to AFC Richmond, according to Variety. In other entertainment news, Banijay Entertainment's reboot of "Wallander," starring Gustaf Skarsgård, has added Sophia Martinsson, Ana Gil De Melo Nascimento, and Göran Ragnerstam to its cast, Variety reported.
The "Wallander" reboot, produced by JarowskijYellow Bird for Swedish broadcast network TV4, will feature Martinsson as Wallander's daughter, Nascimento as his wife, and Ragnerstam as his father, according to Variety.
In other international entertainment developments, Sony Pictures Television's game show format "100 Choices," created by FANY Studio, will be adapted and produced by TV Thunder in Thailand at the Columbia Pictures Aquaverse water park, Variety reported. SPT acquired global distribution rights after the format's showcase at the Asia TV Forum and Market in 2023, according to Variety. The deal aims to engage family audiences while promoting the theme park.
Additionally, "Jajas African Hair Braiding" premiered in the U.K., according to multiple news sources.
