BONHAM, Texas – Three young brothers died Monday after falling through the ice on a private pond in Bonham, North Texas, according to BBC World. The victims were aged six, eight, and nine.
Cheyenne Hangaman, the boys' mother, recounted her desperate attempts to rescue her children. She told CBS News, the BBC's US partner, that she tried to lift them out of the water and place them on the ice, but it kept breaking.
