Colombian Lawmaker Among 15 Missing in Plane Disappearance Near Venezuelan Border
Bogota, Colombia – Search and rescue teams were deployed in Colombia after a passenger plane carrying 15 people disappeared near the eastern border with Venezuela on January 28, 2026, according to Al Jazeera. The missing included a Colombian congressional representative and a candidate running in upcoming elections, local officials and media reports stated. Two crew members were also among those on board.
